Brooklyn
is the most populous borough
of New York with nearly 2.5 million residents. Brooklyn was
an independent city until 1898 when they voted slightly in
favor of joining with Manhattan, The Bronx, Queens and
Staten Island as the five boroughs to form the modern New
York City.
