COBBLE HILL

Cobble Hill is a beautiful residential neighborhood in an area formerly known as South Brooklyn. Leafy streets and century-old town houses characterize the neighborhood. In recent years, the neighborhoods of Cobble Hill, together with Boerum Hill and Carroll Gardens, have sometimes gone by the collective name of “BoCoCa”. These three neighborhoods keep up a very similar vibe. Cobble Hill’s biggest attractions are the many family-run shops: Italian meat markets and old time barbers mixing with trendy new restaurants. The main commercial strip is Court Street which is dotted with boutiques and shops. Smith Street, just one block east of Court Street, is the area’s trendiest strip, but strictly speaking, it belongs to Boerum Hill and Carroll Gardens. Some Middle-Eastern delis and restaurants are located along the Atlantic Avenue border of Cobble Hill.
