Williamsburg - The North of
Williamsburg is the East Village of Brooklyn, a very trendy
area, full of hipsters. Bars, restaurants, clubs and a
vibrant music scene have risen up here, which is no
longer a secret. Young people from
Manhattan go out in this neighborhood as well, since the
area is so easy to reach from Manhattan: Take the L-Train
and get off at Bedford Avenue, which is the first stop in
Brooklyn.
The area around Kent
Avenue and 10th Street near the East River looks very industrial, but don't
turn around, you can find
clothes shops in places you'd never expect. A nice
second-hand shop can be found at 11th Street between Berry
street and Whyte street.
Most other trendy
shops and restaurants are located along Bedford Avenue.
