MIDTOWN

Midtown Manhattan is the busiest and largest commercial district in the United States. Department stores, fashion shops, museums, theaters, television studios and much more can be found there. Besides Lower Manhattan and its Financial District, Midtown is also the site of most skyscrapers of New York City, among them the famous Empire State Building, the Rockefeller Center and the Chrysler Building. Other well-known buildings are the Metlife Building, United Nations Headquarters, Grand Central Station, Radio City Music Hall and Madison Square Garden. Some important spots in Midtown include Times Square and the Theater District, the Garment District, which is known as the center of fashion design, the Diamond District, Koreatown, home to karaoke bars and authentic Korean eateries, Little Brazil, Herald Square and Fifth Avenue, which is one of the most exclusive shopping streets.
