Broad
Channel is the only inhabited
island in Jamaica Bay in southern Queens. The small
neighborhood is a tranquil place, and because of the water
canals it is sometimes called the Venice of New York.
I didn't actually
visit the place, i just rode by with the subway when I went
to Rockaway Beach, and so took the pictures from there.
Broad Channel has its own subway station and is served by
the A-Train, which runs elevated from the Rockaways until
mainland Queens.
