PELHAM PARKWAY

Pelham Parkway is an ethnically diverse neighborhood in the central portion of the Bronx. Today, the neighborhood is predominantly Hispanic, but there are also significant numbers of longstanding Italians and more recent immigrants from Albania. White Plains Road is the main commercial street in the area, it features many Albanian businesses. Pelham Parkway is named after the Bronx and Pelham Parkway, which runs through the neighborhood. World-famous Bronx Zoo is located within walking distance from Bronx Park East or Pelham Parkway subway stations.
