Wakefield
is the northernmost
neighborhood in the Bronx. It used to be an Irish-American
and Italian-American neighborhood, but today it has become a
mainly African-American neighborhood. The area can be reached
by the 2-Train, the 5-Train and the Metro-North Railroad, it
takes almost an hour with the subway from Midtown Manhattan.
